ymple Pleasures are the peasant dancers of the Renaissance Historical Society, merrily performing historic English Country Dances. We frolic about, circling, siding, and slipping to the sweet sounds of the violin and the Musical Discord Ensemble, inviting you to join the fun.

he dances we perform were collected and transcribed by John Playford in his English Dancing Master in 1650. We lead up a double, set and turn, side, and arm while Jenny Plucks Pears, and Gathering Pease-Cods.We do this all Upon a Summer's Day. We cavort as did King Henry VIII to the most favorite Black Nag.

e meet to learn and practice our dances most every Sunday, nearly the year round at Tropical Park in Miami. We perform at the Renaissance Historical Society's Italian Rennaissance Festival every March. We are also available to perform and entertain at weddings, bar-mitvahs, birthday parties, and other events. Click here to contact us.
